Billing terms and first-year promotional pricing
How monthly, one-, two- and three-year hosting terms work at FoxFolio Cloud, how the first-year promotional rate is applied, and what the renewal price is.
Quick answer
Hosting can be bought monthly or for one, two or three years, and the full term is paid at purchase. Two- and three-year terms include a promotional rate for the first year only: the amount due today combines that discounted first year with each remaining year at the standard annual rate, so nothing more is charged after year one. Renewals use the then-current standard rate.

The four terms side by side
| Term | Paid today | Promotional rate | Next charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | One month | None | Renewal after one month |
| 1 year | One year | None | Renewal after one year |
| 2 years | Both years together | First year only; year two at the standard annual rate | Renewal after two years |
| 3 years | All three years together | First year only; years two and three at the standard annual rate | Renewal after three years |
Steps
Open the plan in the checkout
Go to the checkout and choose a plan. Select monthly or yearly billing and, for yearly, a one-, two- or three-year term.
Read the breakdown
For two- and three-year terms, the page shows the discounted first year and the remaining years at the standard annual rate. Together they make the amount due today.
Continue to the secure checkout
The two- and three-year links apply the matching promotion code for you. You do not need to type a code.
Check the total before paying
The final checkout shows the term, the CAD price, the discount, tax and the total. The promotion applies once to this purchase.
Note the renewal
At the end of the term the service renews for the same length at the then-current standard rate, not the promotional rate, unless you cancel first. See How renewals and renewal notices work.
What you should see
You have paid for the whole term in one payment, the first-year promotion is shown on your order, and no further charge is due until the term renews.
Troubleshooting and common mistakes
- The discount is missing at checkout.
- Start again from the checkout so the matching promotion link is used, and check that the billing term in the cart is still two or three years.
- You expected to pay one year at a time on a three-year term.
- Multi-year terms are prepaid in full. If you prefer to pay yearly, choose the one-year term instead.
- The renewal amount is higher than what you paid per year.
- The promotional rate covers the first year of the first term only. Renewals are at the then-current standard rate.
When to contact FoxFolio support
Open a signed-in ticket if your order confirmation or invoice does not show the term and discount you chose, quoting the order or invoice number.
Common questions
Does the promotional rate apply when I renew?
No. The promotional rate applies once, to the first year of a two- or three-year term. Renewals use the then-current standard rate for the same term length.
Will I be charged again after the first year of a multi-year term?
No. The full term is prepaid, so there is no separate charge after year one. The next charge is the renewal at the end of the term.
