What Premium Website Backups covers and how it is activated
What FoxFolio Cloud Premium Website Backups adds to the included backup tools, what it covers, and how manual activation after payment works.
Quick answer
Premium Website Backups adds scheduled, recurring snapshots for one compatible FoxFolio Cloud hosting service, including the domains and subdomains attached to it. It is billed monthly and asks for your website’s domain at checkout. FoxFolio activates it manually after payment, normally within one business day, and tells you when protection has started. Until then, use the included on-demand backup tools.
Before you start
- An active FoxFolio Cloud hosting service for the website
- The primary domain of that hosting service, to enter at checkout
Applies to: Premium Website Backups, Cloud Hosting, WordPress Cloud, Managed WordPress.

Steps
Check the service is compatible
Premium Website Backups protects a FoxFolio Cloud hosting service. It does not cover Basic Email, servers, or websites hosted elsewhere. Ask first if you are unsure.
Order it
On the Premium Backups page, choose Premium Website Backups. Enter the primary domain of the hosting service in the Website domain field, review the monthly CAD price, tax and total, and pay.
Keep making your own backups until activation
Protection is not instant. Keep using on-demand backups until we confirm activation.
Wait for confirmation
FoxFolio activates the service by hand, normally within one business day of payment, and confirms by email or ticket when scheduled snapshots have started.
Ask for a restore when needed
If you need to go back to a scheduled snapshot, open a ticket naming the service, what to restore (files, database or both) and the date and time you want.
What you should see
You receive confirmation that scheduled protection is active for your hosting service, and you know how to request a restore from a snapshot.
Troubleshooting and common mistakes
- You paid but have had no confirmation after one business day.
- Open a ticket from your account quoting the service domain.
- You entered a domain that is not your hosting service’s primary domain.
- Open a ticket with the correct domain before activation, so we protect the right service.
- You want to stop the subscription.
- Request cancellation from the service in your account. See Cancel a service.
When to contact FoxFolio support
Contact us before ordering if you need a specific retention period or have a site that changes minute by minute, such as a busy shop, so we can confirm whether the service suits it. Premium Website Backups does not replace your own independent copies.
